Two Cocktails, One Unforgettable Night
Our first date was a blast! We started with a walk, easing into conversation over coffee, and then, as the night unfolded, we found ourselves at The Interval, a cozy, dimly lit bar by the water in North Beach. The atmosphere buzzed softly around us, but from the moment we sat down, the world outside faded.
The drinks? Ginger Rogers and Navy Gimlets—two distinct cocktails, each capturing the energy of that night in their own way. The Ginger Rogers was bright and effervescent, refreshing with just the right amount of spice, much like the playful, teasing back-and-forth between us. The Navy Gimlet, on the other hand, was smooth and strong, its boldness mirroring the intensity of the connection that sparked between sips.
Time slipped away as we talked and laughed, caught up in the kind of effortless conversation that makes you forget the hour. At one point, an amused bartender gave us a gentle reminder that we might be overstaying our welcome in certain areas of the bar—but even that couldn’t pull us apart. When the night finally wound down, we lingered outside in the parking lot, neither of us quite ready to say goodbye. Something had shifted between us, something undeniable.
Now, whenever we make these cocktails at home, they take us right back to that night: the laughter, the chemistry, and the start of something unforgettable.
